Terrestrials
Terrestrial flies refers to dry flies that imitate insects that live on land but occasionally fall into the water. Terrestrials are some of the most effective patterns on streams and rivers flowing through meadows and forests where insects can blow into the water or fall off vegetation into the water. This category of dry flies includes ants, beetles, hoppers, crickets, cicadas, and many other imitations of terrestrial insects. These flies are visible, fun to fish, and attract big fish as they plop on the water's surface.
