Michigan Fishing Report
Winter has tried to hold on as long as it possibly could, but in the battle between Spring and Summer we are seeing our hero spring has come out on top. Water temps are starting to stabilize and the low to mid 50° temps are the norm for now.
We had a great and Hendrickson hatch this year and now Mahoganies, slate wings and a variety of other bugs are finding there way to the pallet of some great trout. On a recent trip on the famed AuSable River here in my home state of Michigan, we had gray drakes on the water and rising fish. Assuming that's what was on the menu I tied one on and nothing... Not even a look. Small sulphers were the intended yet unseen diet. Just goes to show you ya never know so keep your fly boxes full of RiverBum flies!
Hope your season is safe and filled with fun and family and friends...
Tight lines,
Jeff Marsh
