All-Weather Covert Clear

Monic originally patented the clear floating fly line in 1994. Why a clear floating line? Why where camouflage when you’re hunting? While it remains true the fish can detect the line, it is also true they can detect to a lesser extent than colored lines, especially, well, hunter orange for instance.

With the addition to Steve Tatarchuck to the Monic team, the All Weather Covert Clear line has undergone constant development. Today, the coating technology combined with the industry’s only HOLLOW, CLEAR CORE brings a fly line that has low memory, can be fished in any temperature, does not need added lubricants or floatants, and floats clear and high for ultra-stealthy presentations.

This line can be used to stalk bonefish in the flats or sipping browns on Silver Creek. It is really just a solid, all around floating line for the discerning angler.  Line memory has long been a long standing issue with clear, floating lines.  Monic has developed a propriety core technology that virtually eliminates all line memory.
