Mayfly Nymph Fly Patterns
Mayfly Nymph are some of the most common trout foods in most stream, river, and lake environments. Many anglers believe that a fish will take a mayfly over other kinds of foods. There are thousands of species of mayflies but the nymphs come in one of 4 basic varieties - Burrowers (long narrow body), Swimmers (small slim profile), Clingers (short body with wide thorax & heavy strong legs), and Crawlers (medium profile tapering from head to tail with strong legs). This selection of mayfly nymph imitations covers each of these types of mayfly nymphs effectively.
