Blue Winged Olive - BYO Nymph

The Blue Winged Olive group is an essential food for trout for half of the year. The Blue Wing dominates the cooler temperatures and will hatch through most the winter. At higher elevations they will hatch during early and late winter. Blue Winged Olives mostly occurs in slow to medium flows of water. The BWO is a free swimmer; they will often float down stream which makes for some great olive nymph fishing.
