Zonker, Natural-Pearl

The Natural Pearl Zonker is one of the most popular Zonker colors. The combination of natural colors gives the fly a versatility other streamer patterns can't match. This fly will match any small minnow and has also been used to imitate insects and crayfish. Most guides and avid streamer anglers will always make sure to have this color in their fly box.  Dan Byford is credited with tying the first Zonker back in the mid 1970’s, and it remains a staple fly pattern to this day. Much like the Clouser Minnow, the Zonker is an extremely versatile baitfish pattern that has accounted for a wide variety of fresh and saltwater species across the globe, and can be actively retrieved or dead-drifted with equal success.
