Creek or pond – river or lake – smallmouth or largemouth, I catch bass in the dozens and of size: 14” to 18”. The big legs twitch perfectly on very short, but hard strips, but this fly makes a good popping sound and makes a good foam trail during harder and longer strips. Whether you use a slow, twitching retrieve or fast retrieves, it gets lots of attention. And, the size 6 looks like a meal to bigger bass.
